– Asking and Looking for God to Help You In Every Part of Your Life –
If you think back to when you played “hide-and-seek” you probably remember searching for others in every corner, under every covering, and in every place you could imagine! Whether high, low, or completely hidden, you did everything you could to find those hidden people. It was your goal to find them and to find them would make you a winner.
To seek God is to want God to be involved in every part of your life. When your goal is to have God involved in and helping you in all of your life, you will seek God. You will look for him like you were looking for others in “hide-and-seek” – you don’t just wait for God to show up… you go looking.
Why do we have to search for God if He is everywhere and if He wants to help us? Is He trying to hide? No, God is not hiding from us but until I really want to have God involved in my life, I tune Him out and I can’t hear what He is saying, see what He is doing, or understand how He wants to help.
The good news is that God does want to help no matter what you are going through. God does have solutions for your problems. God does have the power to help. If you want God’s help and if you are ready to follow Him, then there is a promise when you seek God – you will find Him! That is the promise of God you can hold on to every day!
