You’re uniquely made by God, so present yourself the best you can by taking a good care of yourself.

Make a peacock with your handprints – representing one and only you!

  1. Make four handprints on construction paper in a fan shape using blue non-toxic kids’ craft paint.
  2. Add two googly eyes and a black beak.
  3. Decorate to make it uniquely you!  Use sequins, feathers, glitter glue, and beads to create a beautiful masterpiece.

Questions to discuss:

  1. Why do you think God made peacocks to look the way that they look?  Do you think it is important?  (It is important because that is how God created peacocks to find their mates)
  2. Do you think that God created people to look different just like he created birds, fish, and other wonderful animals to look different? (Yes, it is part of God’s beautiful creation!)
  3. Do you think your appearance matters?  (Yes, but not in the way most people think.  We were all made to look differently and that is for a reason.  How we look isn’t as important as why we think about our appearance.  We can use our appearance to be welcoming to others.  Even if we are very different than other people, we can help them learn about others and about God’s love.  But we we don’t take baths and don’t care about how we smell or appear to others, we might not be able to share with them as well as God has created us to)
